Are you tired of living from the neck up - disconnected from your body?
Are you tired of living your life for EVERYONE but yourself?
You know you’re smart, capable, successful and guided by Feminist ideals of equality and confidence...
...but at the end of the day, you put everyone else first, and yourself last
You crawl into bed at the end of the day without a flicker of energy to give to yourself
You struggle to make decisions in your personal life
That mean voice in your head just won't stop criticizing you no matter how many mantras you try
You've spent your life getting the degrees, job, title, marriage, life that everyone else told you to want
and you have no idea who you are or what you actually want
You worry more about how other people feel than how you do and would rather be uncomfortable than share how you really feel or what you really want or need
The same painful patterns seem to keep repeating themselves in every area of your life,
and you're soooo friggin Over It -
but you just can't seem to make things really, truly change in a lasting, sustainable way....
Are you wondering if I've been reading your journal?
Nah, just reading my own!
Welcome, my love.
I’m Béa (Bay-ah) Beatriz Victoria Albina and I’m here to help you reclaim your life from the habits of emotional outsourcing—those perfectionist, codependent, and people-pleasing thought patterns that keep you stuck. You deserve to live with self-trust, joy, and the kind of ease that comes when you finally remember who you are.
I know this because I’ve been there.
For years, I ran myself ragged trying to please everyone else, thinking if I could just get it all right—be the perfect daughter, friend, coworker, partner—then I’d feel whole.
I was the one who held it all together.
I anticipated everyone’s needs before they even asked.
I was the caretaker, the peacekeeper, the one who never let anyone down—except, of course, myself.
I didn’t know how to slow down. I didn’t know who I was outside of what I did for others.
And my body was screaming for relief.
But I didn’t listen because I didn't have the skills or tools to begin to understand what my body was saying because I'd shut down to myself so early in life and focus so hard on outward things that frankly felt safer...
I pushed through the exhaustion, ignored the constant stomach aches, the tightness in my chest, the racing thoughts that wouldn’t let me sleep.
I told myself I just needed to try harder. Be more disciplined. Toughen up.
It took me decades to realize that over-functioning isn’t strength. It’s survival mode.
And you, my love? You don’t have to live that way anymore.
Cause Spoiler Alert: All that stiving never worked
Instead, I felt drained, disconnected from myself, and like I’d lost the thread of my own story.
My turning point came when I stopped looking for the answer out there (*points into the ether...*) and started looking inward.
With over 20+ years of experience in health and wellness, I’ve spent my career studying how our minds, bodies, and nervous systems work.
I'm UCSF-trained Family Nurse Practitioner and I hold a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University. I’m also a Master Certified Life Coach, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner-c, and a Certified Breathwork Meditation Guide.
But it’s not just the letters after my name that matter—it’s how I use them.
I combine my deep understanding of somatic science, polyvagal theory, and psychology with my passion for feminist theory and a tender, human-centered approach.
I’ve created programs like Anchored and The Somatic Studio to help people like you untangle the thought habits and nervous system patterns that keep you over-giving, over-apologizing, and over-functioning.
My work isn’t about pushing you to be a “better” version of yourself—you’re already whole, my darling. It’s about giving you the tools, knowledge, and capacity to reconnect with that truth. Together, we’ll quiet the noise of external expectations so you can hear your own voice again—the one that knows what you need, what you want, and who you truly are.
What's it like to work with me?
Think of it as equal parts nerdery and nurturing, my work is the place where the science and the woo meet (without the snake oil bs).
I’m here to guide you with humor, empathy, and a boatload of science to back it all up.
My programs aren’t about mindset-only in a toxic positivity or quick fix way—they’re about building the capacity to meet yourself where you are, so you can grow into the fullest version of who you’re meant to be.
Through my programs and my podcast, Feminist Wellness, I’ve supported thousands of brilliant, big-hearted folks in learning science-backed, evidence-based tools for nervous system regulation, somatic intelligence, and true, lasting change.
Ready to reclaim your life?
If you’re ready to stop outsourcing your emotional well-being and start living as the author of your own story, I’m here to help.
Let’s do this together.
When you grow up in a household with codependent, perfectionist & people-pleasing habits in a patriarchal society it's no surprise that you live your life EXACTLY HOW YOU WERE SOCIALIZED AND TRAINED TO!
Makes perfect sense - doesn't it?!
- If you’re always putting everyone else first, managing their moods, their needs, their comfort—while ignoring your own—then you already know what emotional outsourcing feels like.
It’s when you:
- Say yes when you want to say no—because disappointing people makes your stomach churn.
- Live life from the neck up, disconnected from your emotions in your body.
- Feel anxious or guilty when you’re not doing something productive.
- Need external validation before making a decision—because what if you get it wrong?
- Work overtime to keep the peace, even at the cost of your own well-being.
- Feel like your worth is tied to how much you do—instead of simply being who you are.
That’s emotional outsourcing, my love. And it’s exhausting.I teach my clients how to stop living from their stress response and start feeling at home in their bodies, their choices, and their lives. This work is about so much more than mindset shifts. It’s about embodiment.Because no amount of positive thinking will override a nervous system stuck in survival mode. That’s why I created The Somatic Studio, my 12-week program where I teach you how to stop outsourcing your emotional well-being, reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and regulate your nervous system so you can make decisions with ease, set boundaries without panic, and actually trust yourself. And if you’re ready for a six-month deep dive into undoing these patterns at the root, my signature program, Anchored, is where we do the deepest work together.
How I Got Here
I didn’t just study this work—I lived it.I trained as a Nurse Practitioner at UCSF, one of the top medical programs in the country. I have a Master’s in Public Health. I’ve worked in medicine, global public health, functional medicine, and integrative wellness for over 20 years. But my most important credential?I know what it’s like to live in a body that feels like it’s running away without me.I know what it’s like to ruminate endlessly about a decision because I don’t trust myself to get it right.I know what it’s like to crash from burnout, swear I’ll do things differently, and then fall back into the same cycle of overdoing and overextending. And I know what it takes to break free—not just intellectually, but at the level of your nervous system, your habits, your bones.
Why This Work Matters
Because I see so many brilliant, big-hearted women running on fumes.I see them saying yes when they want to say no.
I see them overthinking every text, every email, every word.
I see them sacrificing their own peace just to keep others comfortable. And I see what’s possible when they start choosing themselves. When they stop managing everyone else’s emotions and start tending to their own.
When they learn how to be in their body without bracing for impact.
When they feel safe enough to take up space. That’s what I teach. That’s what I live. And if you’re ready, that’s what we’ll do together. You don’t have to do this alone.
I’ve got you.
Welcome home.
