Tenderoni Hotline #13: My New Year’s Wish For You

Tenderoni Hotline #13: My New Year's Wish For You

My darling love,
as we step into this Gregorian New Year together, I want to tuck a small New Year's Wish into your pocket.

Something soft.
Something sturdy.
Something your nervous system can lean against when life gets loud.

This year, I’m wishing you a year where your body gets to speak first and you are actually able to hear it. A year where you stop bending yourself into emotional pretzels to make other people comfortable, and instead begin noticing what you need to feel ease, warmth, and steadiness.

Not what you should want.
Not what keeps the peace.
But what genuinely settles your system.

New Year's Wish: A Year of Coming Home to Yourself

I’m wishing you a year where old emotional outsourcing habits begin to loosen their grip. Not because you forced yourself into change or did the work perfectly, but because you are slowly learning how to source your safety, belonging, and worth from the inside.

Bit by bit.
Breath by breath.

A year where you no longer rely on codependent patterns, perfectionism, or people pleasing habits to feel okay in the world, because your body is learning that you are already enough.

New Year's Wish: Rest That Actually Restores

I’m wishing you moments of genuine rest.

Not the collapse at the end of the day kind.
But the my chest just softened and I can feel my feet kind.

The kind of rest that reminds your nervous system what home feels like inside your own skin.

May this be the year of tiny rebellions against perfectionism.
Micro acts of self regard.
Pauses long enough to sense what you truly want.

And not just sensing it, but giving yourself permission to want it.

New Year's Wish: Choosing Yourself Without Asking Permission

I’m wishing you the capacity to move toward what you want without consulting the peanut gallery. Without needing approval. Without outsourcing your knowing.

Tenderness with your own heart.
Bravery in the places that ache.
Enough steadiness in your body to trust that you can meet whatever comes next.

You deserve a year shaped by your truth.
Your rhythm.
Your desires.
Your voice.
Your needs.

You deserve to know yourself.

New Year's Wish: The Quiet Thrill of Self Trust

And there is something else I want for you this year.

I want you to feel the quiet, almost unglamorous thrill of choosing yourself in small moments.

Closing the laptop instead of pushing past exhaustion.
Saying no thank you because your body asked for spaciousness.
Letting yourself rest before you earn it.

I want you to have those moments where you surprise yourself.

The moment you stay present through something that once sent you spiraling.
The moment you let someone else carry their own feelings without rushing in to rescue.
The moment you speak up, even though your voice shakes.

Those moments are not small.
They are everything.

They are proof of who you are becoming.
